The idea of 1789 Cala, born on the Côte d’Azur in early 2010, was to dust off the traditional French espadrille. Both the company’s classic and designer espadrille collections, and its collaborations with high-quality brands, are proposed in a full range of colors. Though the soles are in rubber for better grip, the inner soles are in leather. Depending on the model, in leather or canvas, perforated cotton for the famous "RIVA HERITAGE" models, in a leather/perforated cotton mix or all in leather for the "designer" models. The company’s signature three-color back tab personalizes every model.
