A FW20 collection that is still very athleisure: The neon trend wins hands-down and is livened up by a “DKNY THE OFFICIAL UNIFORM OF NEW YORK” message that reflects the intensity of New York City.
Looks are much less black and white than usual with 2 recurring colors - bright pink and neon green – to complete the wardrobe.
Pink imposes itself on sporty jersey dresses, a neoprene sweatshirt, oversized T-shirts and a waterproof down jacket in a shiny, diamond-like material. Fluorescent green livens up a reversible fur bomber jacket, the iconic 2-in-1 dress in allover printed mesh with its matching skirt that has wide elastic at the waist like boxer shorts or the color-block fleece sweatshirt and dress.
Corduroy and silver touches give the collection a chic accent. The season’s allover print is the diamond, worked in pink and green on tank tops and leggings in sporty jersey to give silhouettes a feminine touch. THE season’s surprise: leopard, used unexpectedly for sporty looks as in the DKNY FW19 collection.
The boy’s collection uses materials innovatively (lightweight neoprene, wrinkled nylon, checked tweed …). We see neon green on a two-fabric shearling/nylon cardigan or a water-repellent, reversible down jacket.
The color block mood is developed on cotton piqué polo shirts, hooded sweatshirts and fleece pants in black, orange and electric blue.
Finally, following the trend at many companies, a unisex capsule collection has been introduced, mostly for hooded sweatshirts and T-shirts.
Loose, mini-scale T-shirts show off an oversized, decomposed DKNY logo with the DK on the front and the NY in back.
The season’s IT parka is also unisex in water-repellent twill with allover logos!
Finally, a plaid overshirt works for girls or boys: worn with leggings and boots for HER or with twill cargo pants and chunky sneakers for HIM.
The accessories line has doubled in comparison with last winter and includes twenty references all marked with giant DKNY logos: knit caps, scarves, snoods, chapkas, caps, socks, belts … Bags come in every shape from tiny to enormous and include belt bags, handbags, bandoleer bags, tote bags, knapsacks and XXL shapes.
For shoes, we see a large selection of sneakers, sock shoes, lace-ups and boots that go up to size 39.
